Our
December 7 meeting was fabulous and extremely informative! Richard Warwick
who teaches at Pasadena City College and is a Color Imaging Specialist
at Castle Press in Pasadena, gave us a fast paced, 2 hour talk about Photoshop.
The two hour talk he gave us is part of his Photoshop seminar (5 to 6
hours long) on the first day of the new semester at Pasadena City College.
This will take place on Saturday, January 20,2001, starting at approx.
9:30 am. It will be standing room only, but he doesn't mind the crowd
if you want to attend. Pasadena City College is located on the corner
of Colorado Blvd. and Hill Street and his class is in the "T"
building room T130.
His focus was on Photoshop as an image correcting tool. He spent about
1/2 hour going through the preferences of Photoshop for maximizing its
output on the printing press. He gave great tips on retouching files,
the channel mixer, using dust & scratches, color corrections using
curves and the color picker for adjusting the highlights and shadows,
using the history brush to remove wrinkles, making selections with the
quick mask and the edgeless mask which is a quick mask with choosing
black
above center gray with the brush.
