Deborah Shadovitz,
one of our founding members who currently is an Author, Consultant returned
to speak on Adobe GoLive 6.0 at our September 5th meeting. Deborah covered
the basics of GoLive by making a new site. She showed how to make consistent
looking pages on a website, a brief look at CSS style sheets, and showed
how to utilize an excellent GoLive feature, components. She also showed
how to add JavaScript to this site using GoLive Actions that are powerful
pre-written JavaScripts that are easy to apply.
We had a very good raffle thanks to the efforts of Deborah Shadovitz who
obtained the following raffle prizes from their respective companies.
Adobe generously donated a copy of GoLive 6/LiveMotion 2 and New Riders
Publishing donated some wonderful Photoshop books. We also had some T-shirts
for the raffle that Deb brought from vendors at the recent MacWorld Expo
in New York. Deborah, who is now a Contributing Editor for MacAddict
Magazine had user group discounted subscriptions to MacAddict
