Keivan Fotoohi, an excellent 3-D artist who works in MAYA and Lightwave was the speaker at our Cinco De Mayo (May 5th) meeting. Keivan explained a project he worked on for Carnivale Cruises on a not yet built cruise ship that they needed to include in a brochure. Keivan completely generated the image of the cruise ship on his computer and explained the process as well as showed us his files used to create the project. Keivan also explained how he got into 3-D design and how he gets clients. He answered all the questions by members at the meeting very candidly. His work is so realistic that it is difficult to discern that it was generated on a computer rather that taken as a photograph. Below are samples of his work. To see more images, visit his website.
