from Markzware which is based in Santa Ana, CA was our speaker.
He gave us a presentation on the soon to be released Flightcheck 5.0.
Flightcheck is their award winning pre-press preflighting program.
Flightcheck 5.0 will be OS X compatible and Doug did his presentation
entirely in OS X. Additional features included with Flightcheck 5.0
are: A "warn" feature, creation of custom personalities
for different types of output resolution, comprehensive PDF capabilities
and PDF personalities that include PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-3. Doug also
went over other Markzware products including: MarkzScout, MarkzNet
and Job2Print which run native under OSX currently along with Markztools,
PageMaker to Quark, Indesign to Quark and Xstate. Doug brought T-Shirts
for everyone in attendance along with demo CDs of their products.
