Long time LBMG member, John Harper was our featured speaker at the April 1st LBMG meeting. He explained his process of taking a series of photos at events like the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach and creating artwork. He utilizes a variety of software programs and techniques including Photoshop, a variety of Photoshop filters and Painter. He shared his thought process with us, including showing various photographs and explaining why he used them in certain situations. John had his artwork on exhibit for the first time during March at the Eclectic Cafe & Gallery. He also rented exhibit space in the Lifestyle Expo at the 2004 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach and sold a number of paintings there.
